Melissa’s education background consists of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Francisco State University. She used that knowledge in working for a major airline for 23 years in various positions. From non-management to management positions, she learned valuable skills that would be help her in her goal to have a successful small business.
She retired after 23 years in the airline industry to focus on growing Capitol Chocolate Fountains. She and her husband purchased a 2100 sq. ft. office/warehouse to house their inventory of over 50 fountains and include a commercial washing system to clean and sanitize their fountains. They entered into a long term agreement with Barry Callebaut, the world's leading supplier of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products, to ensure they used only the finest quality product in their fountains.
Regie began his career in the hotel industry. As a Director in Security and Safety, he was committed to a positive and safe guest experience. His property dealt with high-profile guests, including many in the political arena. He opened many new properties and consulted with various hotel owners to ensure their adherence to corporate policy. He retired from the hotel industry after 27 years to assist Melissa in growing her thriving chocolate fountain business.
